ALUEXPO, the International Aluminum Technologies, Machinery, and Products Trade Fair, organized by Hannover-Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., celebrated its 8th edition from October 12 to 14, 2023, at Istanbul Fair Center’s Halls 1, 2, and 3. The opening ceremony, attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan, marked this prestigious event.
Representatives of the aluminum industry, one of the driving forces of the global economy, gathered once again at ALUEXPO, which is one of the top three events worldwide. This year, the exhibition achieved record participation numbers, with a 174% increase in direct international exhibitors and a 25% increase in national participation compared to the previous year. In total, 403 companies took part in the exhibition.
The Expanding Scope of the Exhibition Sets New Records
The 8th International Aluminum Technologies, Machinery, and Products Trade Fair, ALUEXPO, opened its doors with the representation of 403 national and international companies. ALUEXPO continues to reflect the strength of the Turkish aluminum industry. The 27% expansion of Istanbul Fair Center’s renewed halls, the new hall area, and the updated layout allowed us to experience a world-class exhibition in a 15,191 m2 net stand area. Achieving a 30% increase in growth this year, the fair became a source of pride for the industry.
Visitors
Aluexpo 2023 was visited by a total of 13,992 industry professionals, including 2,477 international visitors.
Sectoral Buyers Mission organized by the Ministry of Trade and İMMİB (Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters’ Association), Hosted Buyer organizations organized by Ankiros Fuarcılık, and delegations composed of representatives from international aluminum-intensive industries directed by our Trade Offices contributed to reaching a record number of international visitors.
The expectations of suppliers from various sectors, including Defense, Aviation, Automotive, Construction, Infrastructure, Transportation, Rail Systems, Commercial Vehicles, Marine Vehicles, Packaging, Kitchenware, Energy, Conductors, Solar Energy, and Furniture, were met through invitations and briefings from domestic Organized Industrial Zones (OSB), sector representative associations and unions, sector-specific invitations, and informational sessions.

Melting, casting, heat treatment, and reheating technologies; pressure casting machinery and equipment; kokil casting machinery and equipment; continuous casting machinery and equipment; refractories and insulation materials; rolling technologies; extrusion and wire drawing technologies; casting, forging, and extrusion molds; production and materials of molds and components; testing, measurement, and control technologies; scrap processes; recycling, refinement, and recycling technologies; surface treatments; chemical applications; paint systems; consultancy and service providers; associations and publications all found their place at ALUEXPO. Processes that add value to aluminum, such as chemical, electrochemical, and mechanical surface treatments, coating, paint systems, 3D, layered powder metal printers, Industry 4.0, and Digitalization technologies, were also presented for the industry’s evaluation at ALUEXPO.

Primary aluminum, secondary aluminum, semi-finished aluminum products; sheets, profiles, ingots, billets, chips, granules, powder, wire forms, and various alloys; casting and forging products; aluminum system solutions for architectural applications; semi-finished products for industrial production; processed aluminum products; and all other aluminum products were showcased.
