The Company is highly export-oriented (>90% of its sales) carried out into more than 60 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East, America and Australia. Symetal S.A. is an aluminium segment subsidiary of ElvalHalcor S.A., a leading global industrial producer of aluminium and copper. Symetal has two production facilities, the rolling plant situated at Oinofyta (north of Athens), and the converting plant at Mandra (west of Athens). The rolling plant is dedicated to the production of plain aluminium foil in a wide range of thicknesses and alloys. The plant has an annual capacity of 52.000 tons and its aluminium foil products are directed in various markets such as the flexible packaging, pharma, semi-rigid containers, technical and household use. The converting plant has an annual capacity of 26.000 tons; focuses on the conversion of aluminium foil into a number of packaging applications for the tobacco, food and pharmaceutical industries.
